Dongara/Port Denison

Dongara & Port Denison are almost twin cities.  Separated only by the river they are essentially the same town.

For our first Port Denison experience, we stayed down by the beach at the Dongara Tourist Park.

A great, tidy park, well maintained and a short walk over the dune to the beach or a block down the road to the marina.

All of the amenities you can require are in Dongara but if need be it’s only 50 minutes to Geraldton for supplies.

We loved the marina area in Port Dennison.  Sheltered calm waters and a nice grassed area to walk and exercise the dog.

We also loved Southerly’s with its fresh brews, a killer view over the marina and the Taste of Irwin Burger with tasty steak and even tastier local crayfish – it was one of the best steak sandwiches I’ve ever had!
